“I find TopSpec AntiLam and TopSpec Comprehensive offer good nutritional support to recovering laminitics and horses and ponies with poor hoof quality.”
John Gilliver BVSc MRCVS

“I have been using TopSpec Comprehensive supplement for horses and ponies recovering from laminitis for several years. However I felt I must write to say how impressed I am with your new pelleted version, TopSpec AntiLam. It seems to me to not only offer a superb specification but also, by providing the nutritional support needed in a palatable pellet, to make life so much more pleasant for both the patient and the owners.”
Sarah Coombes BSc BVetMed MRCVS

“Since recommending TopSpec Supplements to our clients we have seen significant improvements in horses and ponies with hoof quality
and post-laminits problems.”
Simon Pollard BSc BVM&S Cert ES(Orth) MRCVS

“THE HISTORY …...Having had some difficulty with the feed regime of my Cleveland Bay mare trying to balance a good vitamin and mineral intake with the fact that she is quite a good doer but also
had a tendency to get a bit fizzy on some mixes...
I made contact with yourselves for advice

THE UPDATE ……..Four years on we are still on the combination of TopSpec AntiLam (she has never actually suffered Laminitis), a low calorie chaff and TopSpec Calmer.

THE RESULT …..I have to say we have never looked back, she is ridden 4 to 5 times a week, we do longer distance pleasure rides, a bit of showing through the summer and a bit of jumping for pleasure….
as you can see from the picture she is looking great!”

“Jim is a 16.2 hh, 10 year old, Irish Draught gelding that I’ve had since a 2yo. He’s always had poor feet - slow growth, poor hoof quality, flare and separation. Over the years I’ve tried loads of different
supplements and although some seem to have helped
a little bit there was never a big improvement.

I had major problems with his fronts, starting with a pulled shoe and ending with us worried about laminitis. In despair I cut out all feed except a handful to carry his supplements,
restricted his turnout and fed soaked hay.

He’s now been on AntiLam since the beginning of summer
and for me the results speak for themselves.
Feet. These are the main reasons I’ll continue to feed AntiLam.
The top half of his hoof is now noticably thicker and stronger looking.
I’m longing to see what happens when my farrier reaches the new hoof.

Temperament. This may be famous last words but he’s seemed a lot calmer in himself. He still has plenty of energy for his work but it’s far easier to channel now.

Overall condition. Along with a general diet he’s lost quite a bit of weight (this is good!) without having to reduce his fibre intake. His coat is good, his appetite is good, his stomach seems fine.

I really would like to thank you and your colleagues for the time and advice they’ve given me over the last few months. I freely admit that I was rather sceptical about TopSpec at first but it’s lived up to, and exceeded, everything I’d heard about it.”

Thank you!

TopSpec AntiLam provides highly effective nutritional support for horses and ponies prone to, being treated for, or recovering from laminitis.

Most overweight ponies, and some overweight horses, are susceptible to laminitis.

TopSpec AntiLam is a pelleted product, it looks like a balancer, is fed at the same rate as a balancer, but it is not a balancer. AntiLam is in fact a brilliant formulation combining several supplements with a high-fibre, very low-calorie carrier to make it palatable.

Long-term trials at TopSpec have shown that horses and ponies on restricted or moderate grazing do not gain any additional weight when fed TopSpec AntiLam.

The ultra low-calorie formula means that TopSpec AntiLam can also be used very successfully as part of a calorie-controlled diet when weight loss is required.

This unique multi-supplement is so palatable that it can be fed out of the hand to horses and ponies at pasture to provide vital nutritional support.

TopSpec AntiLam should be fed on its own with forage. The forage can be in the form of late-cut hay and/or low-sugar-coated chops or controlled grazing, or a combination of these, depending on the individual circumstances.

The main features of TopSpec AntiLam are:

• The level of Biotin (15mg/500kg horse/day) that is scientifically proven to improve hoof quality, plus the levels of methionine, cysteine, lysine, calcium, zinc, copper, iodine, and vitamin A known to improve the efficiency of biotin alone. Chelated sources of copper and zinc are included in the formulation. Certain of these nutrients also promote supple skin and a shiny coat.

• High levels of a pure, protected yeast to help maintain near-neutral (normal and healthy) conditions in the hindgut. It is when the gut becomes acidic that laminitis trigger factors can leak out into the bloodstream.

• Additional MOS (mannan oligosaccharides). To indirectly benefit the ‘good’ fibre-digesting bacteria in the hindgut.

• A top spec broad-spectrum supplement, vital for horses and ponies on a restricted diet. Including bio-available magnesium.

• Generous levels of anti-oxidants including Vitamins A, C and E plus selenium to neutralise the excess free-radicals that have been increased by the stress of laminitis.

• A highly digestible, high-fibre ‘supplement carrier’ to stimulate the fibre-digesting bacteria in the hindgut.

• Very low in sugar and starch, but high in fibre, and therefore ‘Non-Heating’

These features are backed up by the Triple Award-Winning TopSpec Laminitis Helpline 01845 565030.

TopSpec AntiLam is available in convenient 7.5kg plastic tubs (30 days supply for a 250kg pony), or economic 20kg sacks (40 day supply for a 500kg horse).
