Example Feeding Programme for a 16.2hh, middleweight, Sports Horse Broodmare during the last three months of pregnancy
This diet will provide the nutrients needed to maintain condition when appetite diminishes and the in-utero foal is growing rapidly. It will also optimise the nutrient supply to the foal in-utero, allowing it to reach its maximum potential at birth.

1) Good grazing when out; high quality hay or haylage, fed ad-lib, when in.
 Less will be taken as foaling approaches.

2) Bucket feed, to be fed twice daily: -
A) Foundation product:
325 grams (use TopSpec measure) TopSpec Stud Feed Balancer

B) Calorie sources:
i) 300 grams TopChop Alfalfa
ii) 1.5kg TopSpec Super Conditioning Flakes, adjusted according to condition
