Is designed for breeding stock that are good-doers
Is cereal-grain-free, low sugar/starch, ‘Non-Heating’

Contains an effective hoof supplement
TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer is a very palatable ‘Non-Heating’ low calorie feed that contains a multisupplement including the levels of micronutrients and digestive aids normally only found in high quality specialised supplements. When TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer is fed there is therefore usually no need to add any further supplements. It can be fed alone or mixed with a little chop e.g. TopChop Alfalfa.
TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer is formulated to the best possible specifications, using the highest quality ingredients, and contains optimum amounts of all the nutrients needed to complement forage and allow broodmares and youngstock that are good-doers to reach their maximum potential without becoming overtopped.
Using TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer will not promote weight gain. It will facilitate muscle and bone development, greatly improve hoof quality and produce a supple skin with an exceptionally shiny coat. It will also support fertility and milk yield in mares, and good, even growth rates in youngstock. TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer helps to maintain a healthy immune system.
TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer can be fed to overtopped foals from around three months as a creep feed prior to weaning. A week after weaning we would normally recommend a gradual change to TopSpec Stud Feed Balancer.
As with all new feeds TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer should be introduced to the ration gradually, over a period of four days, starting with approximately one quarter of the amount you intend to feed by day four. It can be fed with a small amount of a suitable chop e.g. TopChop Alfalfa, or it can be fed on its own to mares, foals or youngstock at grass.
When fed on its own TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer provides optimum amounts of micronutrients with minimal calories. This is ideal for good-doers. If extra condition is required then we recommend the use of TopSpec Stud Feed Balancer.
Quantities to be fed
TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer should be fed according to the ideal mature bodyweight of the horse or pony. Foals may safely nibble at their dam’s TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer but until they are three weeks of age they will not benefit fully from it, as their digestive systems will not be mature enough to digest it efficiently.
As a guide a half-pint mug holds approximately 200g of TopSpec Stud Lite Feed Balancer, however free measures are available from all stockists.
