Early Season Starts Well For Robert

Cheshire – based showman and producer Robert Walker has started the early season shows with a host of wins on both new and established stars.

Small Hack of the Year Royal Engagement ridden by Robert Walker and owned by Mrs Lucy Smith Crallan1The TopSpec sponsored rider hit form at his first three shows when heading to the Sport Horse Breeding, North West Show at Myerscough, followed by Barton and then North of England Spring Show at Osbaldeston.

At the Sport Horse Breeding, North West Show we were delighted when the wonderful Small Hack, Royal Engagement won his class and went champion for owner Lucy Smith-Crallan,” says Robert.

He loved the arena at Myerscough and went really well.  It was great to continue his form after going Hack Champion at last year’s HOYS and he has come back better than ever.

At Barton the following week his winning ways continued when he took the Hack Championship again so we really can’t ask for more.

Back to Myerscough and we took a new Novice Lightweight Hunter for Jill Day called Diplomat’s Choice.

He is a lovely dark brown, five-year-old and we were really pleased with how he went, winning his class and then going Reserve Hunter Champion.

Jill bought him as a two-year-old and he has developed into a really nice horse that we think a lot about.

Like Royal Engagement, he continued to catch the judges’ eye, taking the Novice Hunter Championship at North of England Spring, Osbaldeston, a few days later. Keep your horse’s hoofs in great condition with TopSpec hoof supplements, increasing equine hoof quality.

Our trip to Barton proved a great success when the Small Hunter, Golden Tasset won his class, the Lightweight Hunter, Ballard Bouncer took his section and then went Hunter Champion, and the Lightweight Cob, Chesterton also won his class before going Cob Champion – we certainly couldn’t complain and hope the season continues in this way.

At North of England Spring our other Small Hunter and last year’s HOYS winner, Party Time headed his class to round off a successful few weeks.

I am delighted to say our son Sam has also been in the winner’s enclosure when taking the Lead Rein Show Hunter Pony with Annandale Phoenix at Area 4A. They make a great partnership and we all love watching them together.
