Now in its fourth year the National Restricted Novice Championship at The Magic Millions Festival of British Eventing will once again be supported by TopSpec.

The North Yorkshire-based company will have a trade stand at the event providing expert nutritional advice, offers and competitions.

In 2017 the title went to Quorn stud groom, Lorna Collins as the runaway winner of The TopSpec Challenge for The Corinthian Cup at Gatcombe Park.

Riding the six-year-old Blackrock Ricardo, she stormed to victory around the undulating park to land a resounding win.

Said Lorna: “Winning the The TopSpec Challenge for The Corinthian Cup was a fantastic day.  Competing at championship level at venues such as Gatcombe Park really helps to develop horses and put them in situations where there is a brilliant atmosphere.

“Competing at a major championship like The Festival of British Eventing really brings them on and helps them to deal with the bigger occasion.

“To ride alongside the best in the world and feel included – and be part of – the main competition was a fantastic experience.”

Added Lorna: “I was so pleased with the result he jumped out of his skin in the show jumping and was in fantastic form I couldn’t have asked for more.”

Said Katy Mickle of TopSpec: “The TopSpec Challenge for The Corinthian Cup is a fantastic competition and we are very proud to be supporting again in 2018.

“Gatcombe Park provides a stunning location for the championship and we are looking forward to another brilliant competition this year.”

The TopSpec Challenge for the Corinthian Cup is aimed at true amateur riders and will be one of the championship classes taking place August 3 to 5.
