Now 21-years-old Regal Spark, owned by Jo-Ann Sharp is in great form on the veteran showing circuit after three years off the road due to a tendon injury.
Returning to the competition arena, Regal Spark and Jo-Ann took the Ridden Veteran Class, Veteran Championship and then the Supreme Championship at Liskeard Show much to everyone’s delight.
Said Jo-Ann: “We had a fantastic day. Sparky won the Ridden Veteran section (first Round Qualifier), then took the Veteran Championship, before taking the overall Ridden Championship, then the Supreme it was just amazing.
“He has been off the circuit for three years as I retired him after he damaged his tendon in 2013 and he is 21 now so I certainly didn’t expect this, it was just brilliant.
“Sparky is fed on TopSpec Senior Lite feed balancer as he is a good-doer and looks in great shape.
“As well as the result at Liskeard we have also qualified for the Veteran Championship at Olympia in December which we are really looking forward to.
“It means he has now qualified for three British international shows over the years. The Royal International Horse Show, Horse of the Year Show and now Olympia – just fantastic.”
